My Internet Explorer crashes all of the time since sitting up my wireless network. I am getting the message "A duplicate name exists on the network." How can I correct this. I'm running Windows XP Home Edition2002 on a DELL 8600 laptop. Thanks

This error indicates that you have two computers with the same host name on your network. To change the computer's name in XP home, please do the following:

    1. Right-click My Computer
    2. Select 'Properties' (skip the first two steps if you can hit windows key + break)
    3. Select the 'Computer Name' tab
    4. Press the 'Change' button.
    5. Under 'Computer Name' type a name that is unique on the network
    6. Apply your settings
    7. Restart your machine

You can typically experience all kinds of network/internet problems when you have a duplicate name on the network. If your problem with Internet Explorer persists, post back and we can help you further.
