Internet Explorer encountered problem...

Hey, Im in need of desperate help, Every time I try and open Internet Explorer I get a message saying "Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry for the inconvenience." I have tried to solve the problem by using Firefox as an alternative yet still will not load up any pages. I looked around on this forum and noticed I havent been the only one to have this problem so I downloaded HijakThis and made a log file.

I would be greatly appreciative if anyone could help me out.

Have you scanned your computer for adware/spyware? if not, go download Lavasoft AdAware SE Personal Edition

and SpyBot Search & Destroy

and run both of those first.

also, which antivirus are you using?

 

Ive used Spyware Doctor, Ad-Aware an Spybot Search and Destroy to try and solve the problem but still nothing!

Using Norton unfortunately, and yes, Jonathan is a fantastic name.
