Internet Explorer error

IE7 on WinXP Pro SP2... it surfs fine, pages open OK, but when I close IE, I get the error attached below. It happens every time, but doesn't seem to be negatively affecting anything...... anyone?

Check the event logs for further information. We are likely looking for 1000 errors from source 'Application Failure'. Post back with the event ID number, source and exact error description of any errors relating to IEXPLORE.EXE

 

I check the Event Viewer, and there are NO errors in any category at the time the error popped up. So I started IE and closed it several times, got the error each time, and still nothing in the event log as far as error messages. There are Information entries: ID 26 Application Popup... right clicking on it and looking at the properties just game me the exact same info that was in the message in the screenshot above....

 

:celebrate Problem solved! I removed IE7 to revert back to IE6. That's it. Nice and easy... it seems to me that IE7 is problematic and uninstalling it seems to not only fix errors, but web pages seem to open quicker, and surfing in general is more responsive and smoother with IE6....
