Internet Explorer Freeze/hangups

    I have a Dell, 70.9Mb hard drive, Windows XP. Lately whenever im in Internet Explorer it always freezes or hangs up and i cant go any further. ive run antivirus (AVG) and spyware (Ad-aware) sweeps and it still does this. Getting frustrated. Please help! Thanks
