Internet Explorer is very slow

I'm new here so I am sorry if I don't give all the right information. I noticed 2 days ago that when i was online that internet explorer was very slow, i called the cable co. and they did tests on there end and said everything was fine. I have the fastest speed and it's like i'm using dial up :mad. I use my computer for my business and it's really starting to really piss me off! I did all the updates on my computer and malware remover and that didn't find anything. Is there some report that I can do on my computer to have any look at to let me know what is wrong with the internet? Once again i am sorry that i didn't give the right information.

I uninstalled IE 8 and now using IE 7 again, it is faster but I have noticed that all my favorites that I have saved I click onto one of them and nothing happens.

So the bookmarks are corrupt? Then you'll need to delete them all and create new ones - does a freshly made bookmark work as expected?
