Internet Explorer missing

My comp had recently been infecteed and I was stupid and deleted my whole "iexplore" folder cause I was just sick and tired of it starting on its own, and was stupid and deleted it from my computer and recycle bin. I now realize I need it for a lot of things on yme comp, so went and d/l internet explorer 6, but when I try to use it, it still ask me where to look for "iexplore" and I have no I dea how to fix the problem. This is really going to be a big problem come this weekend as I'm switching from garbage aol to comcast, and I know I need interent explorer for that. Well let's see, you deleted internet explorer and now you're asking what the problem is?

That's probably just it, since it's the default browser for windows . Why not try using firefox or some other alternative browser? I use comcast cable and have firefox; it's got a lot of stuff IE doesn't have.

 

umm ok that doesn't help much. I need to know how to get the internet explored on here. I don't care about firefox or modzilla, just care about getting my comp right cause now there are also alot of files and pics I can't open now either. Some one please help and tell me were or how to fix it. I tried d/l from microsoft IE6 and install, but not working

 

If you are using xp go to
control panel/
add remove programs/
add remove windows components untick i.e. then ok this will remove any trace of i.e. then go back in and tick i.e. and it will reinstall it
