    I sure need help.

    I have Windows XP.

My Internet Explorer just decided to stop working. When I open it, I get:

"Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage"

So then I try the Diagnose Connection Problems and I get:

Windows cannot connect to the Internet using HTTP, HTTPS, or FTP. This is probably caused by firewall settings on this computer.

Check the firewall settings for the HTTP port (80), HTTPS port (443) and
    FTP port (21)

I think I did this correctly.

I have AT&T Yahoo DSL and can use that browser just fine except when I want to download something then I get the first message mentioned above.

I have been trying everything I can for two days and I'm getting nowhere.

    Please help me!

    Thanks

To the original poster, have you tried a different browser like Firefox or Opera? If those work, including successfully downloading, then we know the problem is with Internet Explorer. Are you running IE6 or IE7?
