Internet Explorer popups

    I have a friend who has XP on her computer. Internet Explorer persists in blocking popups so we cannot download any programs. How do we stop IE from doing this. Newbie on XP.
    How do we ascertain what version of XP she is using. XP, Xp with SP1, XP with SP2, etc

    If IE blocking popup's probably running SP2, In add & remove programs will tell you what service packs are installed also at micrsoft update can view download history.

    Can adjust popup's in Tools/Internet options/Privacy tab (at the top of IE page)
