I'm having a problem with my internet explorer. I can no longer right click and open something in another Window. Also when i am in a website that opens a second windows automatically it does not work either.

I have tried re-install internet explorer, run virus scan (2 diff programs)spyware scans and change every options on Explorer and Nothing.

Can someone please help me. Using Win XP with service pack 2 and exlporer
    6.0.2900.2180 sp2.

    Thank you for your help

This makes me think that you might have a pop-up blocker installed. Do you see anything of the sort under the tools menu? On the add/remove programs list?

Whether we solve this problem or not, I HAVE to recommend that you consider changing browsers. Mozilla Firefox is an excellent replacement that will allow you to open multiple pages in a single window, and navigate through them with tabs across the top. Not to mention that it is quite a bit more secure. Its recommended in the malware forum as a measure of defense.

The pop up blocker is turned off. I'm Very close to just re formating the whole darn pc. If i can't fix it by Tomorrow.

And i have Firefox but it does not work for one of the site i need access to for my WebSite Hosting Tools. :(

    Frustrated

Try the steps below and see if it helps.

    1. Quit all programs that are running.
    2. Click Start, and then click Run.
    3. Type regsvr32 urlmon.dll, and then click OK.
    4. When you receive the "DllRegisterServer in urlmon.dll succeeded" message, click OK.

If this does not resolve the problem, repeat steps 2 through 4 for each of the following files (in step 3, replace Urlmon.dll with each of the file names below):

    • Shdocvw.dll
    • Actxprxy.dll
    • Oleaut32.dll
    • Mshtml.dll
    • Browseui.dll
    • Shell32.dll

Windows XP and Windows 2000 only
Restart the computer to enable the changes to take effect.
