internet explorer problem any suggestions?

i bought a hp laptop bout two months ago and i got a trojan virus, it was 5 pieces i think, most of which was in windows files. i have avg 8 and it moved the files to virus vault so i deleted them. now internet explorer will only open if i right click and run as administrator instead of a simple double click. any1 got suggestions as to how i can fix this?

 

hmm sounds like ur avg screwed up and got rid of the wrong file my suggestion best bet is either reinstall internet explorer or get firefox its a lot better its what i use

 

general rule ive learned when your antivirus detects a trojan....backup everything you need to keep and nuke the hard drive (reinstall os) but other than that try reinstalling ie or get a different browser such as firefox (for lots of kickass addons) or google chrome (fastest friggin browser ive ever used but vurtually no addons as of yet)
