I have IE5.5 and am running windows ME

When I try to start IE, I get the following message immediately:

Cannot find 'file:///c:/WINDOWS.secure32.html'. Make sure the path or Internet address is correct.

When I click OK I get a blank IE page, but can hit the stop button and enter a website from there. When I go to google and then go to internet options and try to set that as my homepage, it seems to work, but when I close and open IE again I get the same message.

I know that I have deleted this particular file from my computer.

How can I prevent this message from coming back? I just want my old IE back!

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks.

you can try running the IE Repair tool or reinstalling IE. Add/remove. find IE listed and click remove, it should give you the option for a repair..

or you can try IE6 :)
