    Well,

I recently upgraded my browser to IE6 and is doing the same thing very often. I would see what version you are using, if it is 6. I would recommend using a lower version, I have never had a problem with 5 or 5.5. Or you could also try using a differnet browser. I use MYIE2 at home and never have problems with it.

Internet Options > Advanced > uncheck Enable Third Party Browser Extensions.

    Report back with results please.

Thats not a fix friend. That was a troubleshooting step ;)

That tells me (and you) that your problem lies within a Browser Helper Object. Those generally come in the form of toolbars and spyware.

It is activated by a subkey of this:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Browser Helper Objects

The latter is usually what crashes IE and Windows Explorer.

Run Ad Aware, Spybot, and/or Hijack This! to cure yourself. Then put the checkmark back to test.
