My computer used to download fast- I would say an 8MB file would download within 10 seconds. I have Comcast high speed internet. A week ago, however, it started downloading extremely slow; I scanned my computer's performance with testmy.net and it stated that it was downloading at 12kbps! Web pages are also affected. I've scanned my computer with Spyware Doctor 2010, Malwarebytes, CCleaner and Disk Defragmenter. Spyware Doctor and Malwarebytes both couldn't find anything. I've even restored my computer to its factory settings after backing up my files. Even after all of this it remains slow. I know it can't be my ISP because my desktop computer is fast. I would greatly appreciate any help you can provide me as this is my school laptop that I use!

I will run you through what I did on the day it started being slow:

I posted my resume on Craigslist.org - started receiving massive fake job posts from them. Thought it could have been a virus causing my internet to be slow but the scanners didn't pick anything up...

I ran a chkdsk after restarting my computer because it was being slow.

    I updated my Java.

Could it be my registry? I was told that messing with my registry could cause more harm than good so I only used CCleaner; something I found many users to recommend. It picked things up and I cleaned them but it's still being slow. Also, Spyware Doctor has a registry scanner and it didn't pick anything up.

Here is my HijackThis Report. Notice how a lot says "file missing" and "unkown error"....

    Please help!!!

    Hi

Sadlt Hijack this still doesnt pick up Windows 7 very well so lists many legitimate files as "file missing" when they are not, however to effectively give you any assistance as Hijackthis log is not a comprehensive assessment of malware that could be infecting your PC, sadly contrary to popular belief it does not show all malware components up.

So please run the below and start a new thread in the malware forum and attach the logs as requested in the guide.
