Internet Explorer: The most dangerous program on the web.

This kind of goes along with fleas post from earlier. I normally use firefox, but today I was forced to veiw a poorly coded page in IE. Within 5 seconds of the page loading, installers started poping up on my screen. This was no site that would normally have popups, but a blog hosted by blogger. In my opinion, the single most damaging program on the web is IE. I estimate that cases of adware and spyware would be cut at least in half if the majority of users stopped using IE. So please friends, tell your neighbors, dont use IE, because it dosent only hurt them, it hurts us.

After my first bout of being hijacked I learned how to take precautions with IE, such as disabling install on demand and using Spywareblaster. Now I'm hard pressed to catch jack squat. How boring. Could you post a link to the 'poorly coded page' so I can go see what kinda trouble I can get into?

 

its not pages in particular, its that the stuff seeks you out. the site in this case was a friends blog, hosted by blogger. but flea had the same thng happen to him on a totally different site, as many people do every day
