Been having a problem with IE on my other PC recently. It wont load any sites. Theres a "new folder" type icon in the status bar where the globe and Internet usually is. Ran AVG, cleared all the viruses out, re-ran AVG and its clean but I still cant browse the web.

Am I looking at just reinstalling IE6, if so where can i download it, or do I have a problem that AVG has missed and AdAware hasn't spotted?

You can get IE from microsoft.com or download.mircosoft.com to be more specific. Although you may want to try trouble shooting it a bit more first.

Like for example ping something (like google.com) and see if that works. If that doesn't work then you know it's not the browser at fault.

It is alos possible that the viruses damaged some important files, so you may simply want to run system restore or repair your windows install and see what happens.
