internet explorer will not run

IE will not run. I tried to run the set of instructions that you describe, however, my computer does not recognize what version of IE I have loaded. I downloaded the updated version of IE7 but that did not help.
I was able to run Ccleaner, spybot and Counterspy which did not find anything. When I tried to run the online virus tools they would not run because they couldn't identify the IE version I have loaded.
One place said that I might have Blasterworm so I downloaded the blasterworm removal tool from Symantech but it did not find anything. Firefox seems to work fine, but that doesn't really solve the problem of IE not running. What do I need to do?

 

Try running IEFix (you'll need your Windows installation CD) and/or Dial-A-Fix, both are available from MajorGeeks. Also, maybe try LSPFix..... good luck!

 

I searched for IEFIX and could not find it. I ran Dial-a-fix and that did not help. Any other ideas?
