I have an old Dell Inspiron 8200 laptop that I'm refurbishing for my cousin. Though it is old, I upgraded the Pentium M processor from a junk Toshiba I had laying around, and boosted the memory to a full GB, also from "junkers". In addition, all the drivers are updated to the latest available. The problem that I am having is that even though all the graphics render just fine, when you open IE7, there are no background colors on any pages you surf. Simply plain white is all you get. I am currently running chkdsk /r in the recovery console to see if that may do a damn thing. If anyone has ever encountered this before, I'd sure like to know how to fix the issue...

 

I've never messed with accessibility options before, I'll boot it up and do the ol' fix o rama. It's always fun inheriting others peoples problems, ain't it?Thanks for the info...

 

Just booted up, and opened the accessibility menu. No boxes are checked at all. I don't know if I like where this is going...

 

FOUND IT!!!! Someone checked the high contrast box in the Control Panel>Accessibility Menu. None of the fonts were in high contrast, though. All looked normal...
