Have a Dell Dimension 2400 with Windows XP. I have a wireless internet connection with TCT West. Am unable to access a website: www.charbroil.com and the techs at TCT tell me it's my computer settings. Even after setting the internet options to medium and turning off my Norton Anti-Virus, I still can't get the website to open. I get the usual: "this page cannot be displayed" and "cannot find server or DNS error". Can anyone give me some suggestions as to why I cannot access this particular site, yet can get into any other I try? Rose

start by if they havnt told you already by deleting your cookies and temporary internet files..

goto in IE Tools > Internet Options > click Delete Cookies and Delete Files... start IE again and try again.

Have cleaned out ALL temporary internet files, cookies, cache with no change. Why am I able to access some internet sites and not others? I have not loaded new software nor made any changes to my pc. Also, ALL IE settings are at default. I receive automatic updates from MS, and when I went in to see if there were new ones, it told me my pc is already up to date. This is maddening! Have turned off the pc, rebooted run Norton AntiVirus, Spybot and Adaware. Have turned off the Windows Firewal and tried to open the sites in question and still I get the same "page cannot be displayed" message. Internet provider Tctwest tells me it's not their connection. Is there something in the updates from MS that could be causing me problems? If so, should I uninstall them back to when I was able to access these sites? :( :(

I've had this problem radomly with different sites for no reason. I suspect its my ISP because without making any changes to my PC's (two) I get a page not avail (on both) for about a week while I can access the sites from work.

A week later everything is fine, again without making any changes.

    Try downloading Mozilla Firefox:

    www.mozilla.org

Not only might this help you, Firefox completely blows Internet Explorer out of the water for so many reasons that I won't even go into them. ;)
