internet explorer6 error message

all day,i have been getting an internet explorer6 error message that ive never gotten before.Every TIME I GO TO ANY WEBSITE,i get the following internet explorer error message:"Main Automation Server cant create object".i still get to the websites,but its very annoying to get this error message all day long when i do anything on my computer,and i have no idea what this error message means.i even repaired internet explorer,but it made no difference.anybody know what this is about and what i can do about it?i use windows 98se,thanks

 

have you downloaded and installed all the latest patches for win98?

 

Run ad-aware or spybot and see if they find anything ugly. If that doesn't help, a complete re-installation (not repair) of IE may be your only choice.
