Internet Issues

I recently got a new rig and after installing windows xp pro x64 with the nic drivers I cannot get an internet connection. I have an Abit IP35 Pro MoBo with a Realtek RTL8169/8110 family dual gigabit nic. When I connect my laptop to the same LAN line it has no problem. I can transfer files over the lan to other computers with no problem, but when I use firefox or IE I get intermittent to no connection. I tried to go to www.dslreports.com/tweak but I cannot seem to download the java client because of the botched connection. I am connect through a router a Netgear WGR614v4. The routers firmware and drivers are up to date. BIOS are the latest. The computer I replaced I also had xp pro x64 installed on it and there were no issues. I'm really stumped and any help would be much appreciated.

When I do an ipconfig/all this is what comes up

Your DNS Server address doesn't look right.
Have you tried ipconfig /release then ipconfig /renew?

 

Yeah I have tried that and I also looked at the other comps on the network they have the same DNS as well. The other comps are working fine one is another wired comp and one is wireless.
