internet just slowed down all of a sudden

i have no clue as to how this happened but my internet browsing speed just dropped significantly. pages used to load almost instantly but now it takes about 15 seconds just to load a page here on the forums. its wierd because it doesnt load slowly as if i had dial-up, but for example here it just loads the top green bar w/ the MG logo on it and then it takes like 15 seconds to load the rest. it doesnt load parts at a tme tho like dial-up as i said before. any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

 

What devices is computer plugged into and what are their Brand Name and Model #'s?

 

ummm right now its just plugged into my printer (HP officejet all-in-one) and the modem (2wire homeportal). i just started having this problem and havent added any new hardware so im kinda stumped....i have noticed tho that the modem has been getting kinda hot, maybe its always been that way but i dunno

 

Have run any scan for spyware or viruses? If so I recommend that you call up your Internet Service Provider. It could be something on their end too.
