Internet lost

I was getting files to fix a pc and the internet crapped out. Tried reinstalling drivers and that failed as well. Thought I would just run a System Restore to an earlier point when I know it worked; yeah...it kept freezing up or it would finish and say they were damaged so no go.

Checked Device Manager and there are a bunch of yellow triangles in the network adapters area - namely

Intel 82562V-2 10/100 Network connection - this one has no triangle, but the following do.

Microsoft ISATAP Adapter
Microsoft ISATAP Adapter #2
Microsoft ISATAP Adapter #3
Teredo Tunneling Pseudo-Interface

This computer is pretty old(2007) and does not sound healthy(fans going out I think) and it already had a new HD put in. Not mine, but would like to get it back to them with at least the internet working(it did when I got it)

HI

What Windows version and service pack are you using?
While a pretty old PC, what is the make and model of it?

First off I would re-install the Chipset drivers for that PC/Motherboard and reboot and check device manager again for yellow ! marks on those devices and also see how your internet is.

I would also boot into Safe Mode with Networking to see if the internet works.

Next is if above doesn't seem to work for you is to Click Start > Control Panel > View Network status and Task > Manage Network Connection
Right click Local Connection, then select Property and uncheck Internet Protocol Version 6(TCP/IPv6) > Reboot and check again

You can then go into Device Manager and uninstall those Yellow ! mark devices if they are still present and then reboot.
