Internet not working properly!

My internet is behaving very oddly, I need to click on things about 5-10 times to make it go any where, and then it often just says its doing something and never gets there. I have to keep pressing stop, waiting and then refreshing over and over again. I have tried every virus and spyware scanner I can find, with no luck. I use Zone Alarm, and I am on AOL broadband, and using XP home. Help me I am going insane

 

Are you using aol's browser? If so try IE and see what happens. If your using IE then download Fire Fox and try that.
Also, think hard and figure out why the sudden change in internet browsing. Was it something you downloaded, an email you shouldn't of opened...ect?

 

I had tried AOl browser but it was no better than IE. Now i am using Firefox as you suggested, it does seem a little better, but I am having most of the same problems. When i tried to download it, it kept stopping halfway and i had to restart the download about 4 times. I cant think of anything I did before the internet started behaving this way, but i don't think it's just the internet, my computer keeps freezing and sometimes i cant restart it so i have to turn it off at the tower...but there is definitely no virus, I have scanned many times.

 

Go to Control panel/network Connections/Double click Local Area Connections and see what packages are being sent recieved and if they are constant. Is your computer slow when moving around applications if so go to www.kaspersky.com and use the on-line scanner. It will not rid of any malware but it will show you where exactly so you can manually delete. Of course do as directed in malware removal MG.
