Internet Not Working

I faced this Prob about 2 Weeks back. My IE Stops working after about 10 Mins of Activity. The Only way i can start browsing again is to Disconnect and Reconnect my ISP (I Use a Dial Up). But again after 10 Mins it stops working. I tried using Firefox but to no avail. Then last week i read a review about installing Zone Alarm. Everything went GREAT for 1 Week and i am back to Square One again. Tried to disable everything @ ZA and then tried to Enable everything @ ZA but to no Avail. I Did install McAfee's Security Center for 2 Days on the recommendation of my Friend but i have got rid of that since then. Any Suggestions on what else i can try. I have also run a complete Anti Virus Check (My DAT Files are also up to date with Norton).Thanks in advance :-(

 

You say you have dial-up. When I had dial-up I had the same problem. This is because I used up all my monthly hours on the internet. I was aloud 40 hours per month and once I used them all up I'd get kicked off every 15 minutes.

Do you have a limit on how many hours you can use the internet each month?

 

Actually no. It is on a Use and Pay Basis. But i did manage to figure out the Problem. There was a Virus File "xpjava.exe" that used to start up everytime i went online. i finally "Denied" it access through Zone Alarm and now everything works fine. I had read an earlier post about a similar virus "winlogon32.exe" which was automatically connecting to the Internet and stopping all regular Traffic. Thanks anyways.
