I have a questions about the internet options. there is a place where you can type in what you want your homepage to be when you log on. i.e www.yahoo.com-- however I've noticed it keeps a list of pages when you start to type www.. How do you clear this memeory? I've tried a few things but do not know where the cache for this is or what file the past URL are kept.

    Hi Bottomsouth,

This is very easy to achieve. Open IE first

Click TOOLS and from the drop down menu select INTERNET OPTIONS

THe box that opens is GENERAL

In the Home Page box type the URL you want for your home page

Once you have done that click APPLY > OK

Now when you open IE you will be sent to your chosen home page

Let me know if you have any problems

    Open Internet Explorer.
On the Tools menu, click Internet Options. Then click the Content tab.
    Next, choose the AutoComplete button.
Check off Clear Forms and/or Clear Passwords to clear all saved items from the AutoComplete history.
Click OK a couple of times to exit.

    Franklin,
you were on the right track but this hasn't worked. The list of previously viewed still comes up when you begin to type. Any other suggestions? Even though I've cleard everything on AutoComplete

See if any of these help. Remember what you change in case you need to go back at some point and change it back.

How to delete Internet Explorer Autocomplete Form entries?

The AutoComplete feature saves previous entries you've made for Web addresses, forms, and passwords. To delete entries from the Address bar, you must:

In Internet Explorer, on the Tools menu, click Internet Options.
    Click the Content tab.
    Under Personal information, click AutoComplete.
Clear AutoComplete history, click Clear Forms.

How To Delete AutoComplete Entries From The Address Bar List?

The AutoComplete feature saves previous entries you've made for Web addresses, forms, and passwords. To delete entries from the Address bar, you must clear your History folder. You cannot clear individual entries from the list of saved entries.

On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
    Click the General tab.
    Under History, click Clear History.

    How To Turn Off AutoComplete?

To turn off the AutoComplete feature you will have to go into another section as the option is not with the AutoComplete Settings.

On the Tools menu in Internet Explorer, click Internet Options.
    Click the Advanced tab.
Scroll down and look under Browsing, click Use inline AutoComplete and remove the tick.
