Internet pictures blocked

I am using a hp laptop and using the internet all of the pictures are blocked with a red square in the place of a picture. What did i do and how do i fix it?

 

If this IE8 you are using then try Internet Options > Advanced tab, and in Multimedia put a tick in Show Pictures.
