internet problem

Hi I have bellsouth dsl lite (wish it was cable) but anyways I tried to install World of Warcraft on and it made my internet connection go really bad. A few times an hour I have to repair connection on network connections just to surf the net. I don't really know how to go about re-installing everything for Bellsouth and I believe I've completely gotten rid of WOW. I have a Pent4 2.5 mhz and Windows Xp, Nvadia G-Force 128mb. I checked windows updator recently and used several spyware removal and virus scans (nortons and i think panda was the name of the online one I used)

 

It didnt solve the problem. Also I didnt mention that the backup dial-up window pops up often asking me to connect via 56k.
