Internet Problems

I have no idea what to even think about this... My internet works, sorta... I can not access www.mail.yahoo.com or any of the myspace websites completly. Just about any other thing i type in works perfectly fine. The myspace ones display very weird(images way out of place, etc.) and the mail.yahoo says it can not access that server, but if i go thru yahoo.com to it, it will work that way. I do not want to log into either one this way since almost all images are not loading, etc, because I dont think it is secure. I have a computer downstairs that does not have this problem at all, so i dont get it. Windows XP sp2, ie6 but using firefox2 now, and i have run all of the steps prior to the hjt postings.

 

My Yahoo address book also will not load. Please help me, this is really pissing me off

 

Can somebody please help me out, I have completed every step in the "read first" post and still have this problem...I have run out of ideas and am stuck

 

I have tried...each time it says that it can not restore completly, due to an improper shutdown and to choose another, but ive tried multiple ones.
