I have been using dial up to listen to internet radio for some time and now am using wireless connection and I am still getting a fair amount of skipping and gaps. Is this the nature of internet radio or what. I use Windows Media Player version 9 & have WinME. Would WinAmp or Real Player have a better result? I really need help.

    Thanks!

it is the nature of dialup speeds and partially the streaming media server. you might be able to set the buffer higher on WMP to more than 30seconds..might help a little.

I don't know about WinAmp or Real Player, but MusicMatch JukeBox is a good music player. I didn't like, and still don't like, Windows Media Player 9 so a friend got me a copy of MusicMatch. I listen to internet radio now and then and it sounds great! I've never experienced skipping or gaps when listening to it.

If you 're interested in the MusicMatch player you can go to their website www.musicmatch.com and find out more about it.

The player has more and better features than Windows Media 9.

    Hope this helps.
