does it matter what kind of router you have for what company(service)
I am looking to get a couple more for different pc in my house instead of using a wireless router because of the speed issues ect.

    Thanks

If your implying ISP (service) it should not matter what make/model of router you have as it will function as a modem/splitter. You can also consider a network hub which will plug into a router and will increse the number of "inputs".

If you are talking about network speeds then what Bold Eagle
    is correct.

If you are talking about the speed of internet then why not get a load balancing router allowing 2 internet connections to basically create 1 faster one.

(if wireless is needed or more hubs then a network hub and an access point could be used aswell)
