I have a custom desktop with a TRENDnet TEW-726EC wireless card and windows 10.

I've had the wireless adapter for a couple months and it was working fine. For the last week the internet speeds will randomly drop from 28 megabits down to 1 to 2 megabits down and stay there till I restart the computer. The internet speeds are fine with other computers on the wireless network. Sometimes I'm not getting any internet at all but I'm still connected to the router.

When I'm having a problem with the internet and I have windows troubleshoot the problem it says missing protocols and a problem with the modem yet other devices don't have a problem with the internet and when I reboot it's fine again.

I don't have allow the computer to turn off this device to save power checked. I haven't changed anything recently. The drivers are up to date.

Thanks for any help. I can't think of what else to try.

    Hi

I cannot think of much to add apart from is in Power Settings the Wireless options set to MAX Performance, also boot to safe mode with networking to test if another 3rd party app is causing this, can be one of your startups and more so security apps could do this.
