Internet Speed?

    I was offered by Bellsouth an upgrade from 3meg to 6meg dsl at a cheaper price due to a bundle package. I was told to unplug my modem and plug it back in o reset it. I some what don't believe they upgraded me. I have used speedtest's web site and i came in at 6263 kb/s. Is that 6meg? If not what speed is 6meg? Thanks.

    6 megabits converts to 6144 kb/s( kilobits per second). Which converts to 768 kB/s (kilobytes per second).

    Rest easy, you have been upgraded.
