    Here is the issue:

I use a 5M connection and usually everynight between 7pm-11pm my ping and ventrilo slash latency on Iexplorer video games and pretty much anything I do is slowed down from a normal 10-25 ping to 250-450? I have a surfboard modem hooked up to a wrt54g V8.2 Linksys wireless router. And I am wondering if it could be A the router or B a unknown virsus that can mess with your ISP except my Anti Virsus software slash adaware programs all come up clean. I also thought it could be a are network overload except that the guy who lives 3 blocks down the street has no issues and yes we have the same ISP. Just wanted to know If it may be the Router I need to replace or some type of tchnical error I am not aware of.

Thanks for any help in advance
    Rick

What do TRACERT times look like when the lag occurs?... Are you sure you aren't hitting the roadblock somewhere between your ISP and the destination(s)?
