internet through Ad Hoc

Trying to access the net w/ more than one LT. My T23 has DSL connection and an old 380ed has WIFI access. Can I access the net via ad hoc network? I also have a 380xd but need to install OS. All of these thinkpads have IR as well.

 

If the main laptop is connected to the Modem via cable and has a free wireless card.

You can configure the Wireless cards of both laptops to Ad-Hoc connection and use Windows ICS to share the Internet.

cat5e, this is the direction I hope to go. The link is pointing in the right direction, but I am running 2k. I played enough to make the ad-hoc connection but am having trouble making the net connection. Original did this w/ an aircard i.e. broadband over cell, w/ no luck. I am using motorola wn825g(pcmcia) on the 380, which has been very reliable and zonet zew2502 on the T23. The zew2502 has been replaced once and may be giving trouble again. TY 4 the input
