internet windows completely minimized

when I am at a website and there is a link to say a picture or something, if I click on the link, the new page opens but it is all the way minimized that the only thing that is showing is the top blue border with the minimize, maximize, and close buttons and the file and edit menus. Thats all that shows until I maximize the window. I have to maximize every window that I open. I tried to stretch the windows so they should save that way but they always open minimized in a little one inch by quarter of an inch window. Sorry if this sounds confusing but it sucks bad and it is extremely annoying. Please someone help if you know what to do

 

I recommend running adware scan. click on the link below to download the latest version. Also update the definations before scanning and select the full system scan. If this does not work u might have to reinstall IE or repair it. If u r using XP u will have to repair XP to repair IE. I know it sucks but cant helpit IE is integrated in XP. Let me know if it works. If theres any other way I will post it as soon as possible.

Have you changed anything lately? Added or reinstalled something.

I am running XP so I can't change IE, but some things that I have updated are windows media player and some new codecs, but my buddy did that for me, but I can't think of anything else right now that I have downloaded. Are there any settings in internet options or something that might be messed up. I am puzzled!!!

Hey Steve, when I right click on my IE icon and choose properties, mine does not have a shortcut tab like that with that information on it, where else would that maximize option be

 

actually, I found it and it already says maximized????

 

When I first click on Internet Explorer, it opens up maximized, but when I click on a link, the link opens up in that little inch by quarter inch tab. If I stretch it to fill the entire screen, all windows will stay that way until I close Internet Explorer and open it again only to have the same problem as before
