Hi does anyone know about 'hompagecause.com' and 'virusheat.com'? a friend of mine seams to get this when on internet and cant get any other web pages up?

 

He has been infected with malware. I haven't heard of 'homepagecause.com' but I know for a fact from personal experience that 'virusheat' is itself a virus/trojan. It's actually called "rogue-ware"; it's malware that poses as legitimate software to sucker people into paying for it to remove non-existant viruses, or something similar. If you still have issues after following the steps in that link, use the suggestions in the link to post your scan logs in malware removal forums and the geniuses over there will be happy to help. Be patient, and don't bump your post every 15 minutes. They are very busy and will do their best to get to you in a timely manner....
