invalid page fault kernell32dll

I am having a problem with the following:

On a computer that has just had windows 98 updates downloaded from microsoft. (This seems to be when the issue arises as it is now the second computer I am having this issue with).

I have a program that was written for me that loads off my server. The work station has had "installshield" load a program on that will allow files to be worked on from the server. The programer does not know why the following is happening and says it is a microsoft problem so he will not support me to help resolve the conflict although he supplied the "installshield" program.

When I go to close out of my "Private" accounting program a screen comes up that says:
"Invalid page fault a kernell32"
and then has numerous numbers after it. The "Close this box" screen will not remove itself from the desktop although everything continues to work perfectly. It is mainly an annoance to have this box on you desktop that won't go away.

All the support pages I go to will tell you how to resolve the issue by going to the software manufacturer like Intuit or Act if that is the program you are have a problem with - but here I have a private program that I have no where to turn for a solution.

How do I resolve this invalid page fault at kernell32?
