invalid windows xp

hi there e1,i bought this computer from local paper and have now found it to be running an invalid copy of windows. i want to install SP2 but cannot as microsoft programme validation won't let me,i wondered if anyone had any ideas as to how i can update this comp ????? many thanks, loubear

 

thanks, it was a private sale and to be honest i didnt check if it was valid as wasnt connected to internet when i bought it.he didnt say it was genuine and i just presumed it would be.i suppose its a case of buyer beware really.i'ii just have to be more careful in future.....the cheap option is not always the best, but thanks anyway for your help DomLuc.xx

 

Sorry to hear your troubles Loubear but you can download windows 7RC for free and it will give you a breating space untill you decide what you want to do.
