inverter cable

hi can any one tell or show me a run through of how to remove and replace my lcd inverter power cable, i have a backlight issue that the cable is causing , not realy sure of how to release the cable from the inverter and motherboard, any help would be greatly appreciated.

 

The connection type varies from model to model, what make/model is your monitor? If you've already taken it apart, a picture of the problem spot could help us too.

 

I managed to sort this delemma out for myself....managed to remove and replace the inverter power cable with reletive ease...MAKE SURE ALL POWER SOURCES ARE DISCONNECTED INCLUDING BATTERY BEFORE ATTEMPTING... (1)removed screen casing, you will need a stanley knife and philips screwdriver to do this,remove small round rubber caps (usually 5 there was on mine)with knife,remove screws,use the knife to (GENTLY) prise casing apart,this is held together by clips and a sticky strip all around the screen edges (2)removed hinge caps, these just clip off (3)removed power button and hotkey switch cover strip to expose mother board,gently remove this with the knife (4)removed inverter power cable chock from the inverter and followed cable to mother board and removed cable chock,this was done using a small flat headed screwdriver to prise the chocks apart. ......Simples as alexandra says.... ALL THIS WAS DONE ON A E-SYSTEM 3086 LAPTOP... though i suppose it will be more or less the same as most machines... just make sure you have the correct part/cable for your type of system.
