I have a user who's context menus have dissapeared (the menus you see when you right click on a windows file or folder), yet they will appear if you scroll over the area where they SHOULD be. I swear I have seen this before, and resolved it. It must be a setting somewhere, yet for the life of me, I can't find it. Any ideas anyone?

I would recommend that the user follow these instructions to tweak the PC for performance. The only time I ever see this problem is when the menus are slow to respond.

You might try #56 on the right hand side Enable or Disable Right Click Context Menu here, http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/xp_tweaks.htm

They would want the Enable option.

Save the REG File to your hard disk. Double click it and answer yes to the import prompt.

I think it sounds more like a rendering issue, some thing on the menu might be 'owner drawing' and invalidating the rect area wrong. Did it start happening after installing any specific programs ?

You might also want to check your graphics drivers.
