IOBIT defrag

I downloaded the Beta 5 two days ago but it keeps getting hung up-it will defrag about 38% and never goes any further. I had no problem with the old version. Is there a fix avail or do I need to find the old version to download again or is there a better software tool for this purpose?

 

i did use obit for a while but found it slowed my system.

Is it really a BETA defragmenter you are using on your system? You are a brave person! I would suggest you really think carefully before allowing a beta app full access to all the data on your hard drive.

As for defraggers, if you are using XP or Vista, i always recommend an automatic defragger that runs in the background. There is no point in wasting time with manually defragging or scheduling defrags anymore. Defraggers have become sophisticated enough to be able to defrag in the background in real-time without disturbing other applications. Google for 'fully automatic defragmenter'.
