Iobit Still Running After I Uninstalled It

I uninstalled IOBIT uninstaller,
but I get popups to buy it when no browser open
and AVG reports it as still running.

 

1. Run task manager (taskmgr.exe) as admin and if anything Iobit is running. If you see it listed, right click on it to see where it is residing. Kill the app (meaning end task) within Task Manager. After that, use Win Explorer to navigate to where the Iobit app is and delete/remove. You can run AVG again to confirm Iobit is no longer running.

 

Have you tried turning it off and on again?

 

yes, it says unable to start service ....failed to respond timely.....

 

Iobit uninstaller was bundled with Iobit advanced system care that says missing file reinstall program to remove.
I would like to remove everything Iobit off of this windows 7 pc.

 

IObitUNsvr "service" has no PID "go to process" is greyed out.

 

If it is not running, go to task manger, then click tab startup, right click it & disable it.... Reboot..Then back to task manger to make sure it is not started. then back to startup tab in task manger, right click it, and open file location and delete it, the whole folder even. That is what I would try.

 

There is no control of the "IObitUnSvr" process in task manager.

 

I did run CCleaner AVG stills says IObit is slowing my computer I should put it to sleep. I can find it though. An uninstall attempt gets the error - please see attached.

 

My bad, I was thinking you had win10. In win 7 to get to startup, go to run, and type msconfig then click startup tab.

 

As a next step, I would download Revo Uninstaller Free and use that to uninstall whatever it is you want to uninstall.
