I bought myself Iolo System Mechanic 7 the other dayand it seems to have dealt with a few issues.

However today I started getting Microsoft warnings that my Firewall and Anti-virus aren't working. System Mechanic also thinks the same. I'm running Nod32 and the free version of Zone Alarm and both seem to be working fine. I did a system restore and it stopped the Windows related warnings but SM7 still thinks I'm running without a firewall or antivirus.

There was some comment in the documentation that any software it considered inferior would be ignored and treated as if it wasn't there. So whats going on here, Nod32 is one of the best ones on the market afaik. Are Iolo deliberately ignoring any other brand to trick you into buying their own antivirus software?

Or is this all coincidental and there's a recent microsoft update that's been creating false negatives?
