Iomega USB to SCSI cable.

I just bought a Iomega USBa to SCSI cable, but unfortunately is came without the drivers/software.
And it does not connect my scanner to the PC.

Has anyone an idea where i could find the proper drivers for this cable?
I looked on the Iomega support pages, but could not find them.

Any hints would be greatly appreciated

As it is just a cable, it shouldn't require any special software. You probably need the drivers for the scanner. If you can post a make model number for the scanner, and any other info about the cable (a part number or Iomega model number) we may be able to help. Does the description for the cable specifically mention that it will work with the scanner? Many cables that convert to USB from something else like SCSI or serial or parallel Centronics do not work with every device. For example, a lady I know had an older serial device she wanted to connect to a newer laptop with no serial port, so she purchased a USB to serial cable. It didn't work. Windows wouldn't even detect the device. A second cable didn't work either. It actually required a USB cable specifically designated for serial RS232. Once we got that cable, Windows immediately recognized the device and we could then install the software....

 

I have the drivers for the scanner.
The Iomega part number is 04089800, my computer does not seem to recognize the cable, nor the scanner connected to it.
Normaly the computer gives a signal if something is connected to the USB port, but now it keeps silent.
I have no idea what could be wrong.
