    Hi guys,

One of my friends is having issues with her internet connection, she is using wireless broadband which is working in her house (she has other computers) but not on her labtop!

I am told that the error message she is getting is that her IP Address is damaged, and therefore will not work!

Is this something anyone has come accross before? From a bit of searching the only thing i can think of is to do an 'ipconfig/renew' and hope that works?

    All help/advice is appreciated!

    Thanks!

Has she tried the laptop both wired and wireless? Is it working on either of the two ways?

Actually to try and get the wireless fixed, which means having the router hand out new IPs, the correct commands are
    ipconfig /release
    followed by
    ipconfig /renew
Note the space between the word ipconfig and the /
