Ip address

    I am trying to connect to a friends computer in a different state and usualy i directconnect through msn messenger but it won't let me for some reason i was wondering if i can somehow connect through an ip address? if not then how?

    Are you using any firewalls? could have something to do with them?

    What do you mean conenct? Like to remote Desktop to his machine? Or UNC to his file shares?

    Remote desktop to her computer. We both took our firewalls down there is just something that is blocking us from direct connecting

    Sometimes ISP's will block ports for virus reasons, call both ISP's to make sure nothing is beign blocked.
