IP addresse.

    Can't come up with any Corporal

    How can I change my IP addresse? I tried disconnecting my modem(high speed) thinking I would be assigned a new one automatically, but it didn't work. What am I doing wrong?

    Stumped :confused:

    p.s. It's not a dial up, I'm always connected.

    Try going to the command prompt and typing:

    ipconfig /registerdns

    I believe that renews/refreshes your DNS/DHCP information on Win2k or XP.

    another possibility is ipconfig /renew but I can't check that one while online!

    sure you dont have a static IP addy? if you do then you wont be able to change it!

    why do you want to do this anyway?

    you cauld try www.ipchanger.com


    go to run and type winipcfg release your ip then turn modem off wait about 1 hour then turn it back on then renew.
