IP Problem

Well something random seemed to happen on my internet. The ip adress messed up..and i think the servers too..it wont connect to the internet.

So i re put in the info but the problem is i dont know the following things for my wireless internet.

*=Known ???=Unknown

IP Adress=*
Subnet Mask=*???(not really sure)
Default Gateway=???

Primary DNS Server=???
Alternate DNS Server=???

My ISP is cogeco and i might call them tommorow but i thought id ask here...if anyone can help me fill this out that would be great

Set them all to "Determine automatically".

If you are using a Proxy in Internet Options then turn this off and set it to automatically detect settings as well.

This should've been posted in Networking...

 

It IS set to determine automatically and thats what happens. Ill try your internet options advice when i go on my XP later.

But does anyone know how to fill out that form i posted?

 

It'll be different because every ISP differs, best bet is to call up your ISP and ask for the details.
