IP use.

    What would i be able to do with a IP?

    You can designate a static IP address on a network instead of using DHCP. For some networks this allows the user with the static IP address to surf on a different subnet which may or may not offer use of restricted sites through the proxy. It depends on the network.

    If you can expand on what your intensions are and what your setup is, it will be very beneficial to this thread.

    Whose it is? Every computer on a network gets one. Some are permanent (static) some are temporary (dynamic).
