    Simple as.

Throughout all areas, looks, functionanity, battery life, ect.

I am dithering between the two and would like someone to help persuade me to one or the other.

(BTW) i was looking at the 16gb 3gs.

Anyone own one of these phones?

    Hi

iPhone 3G wins hands down, yes I have an iPhone, although my main phone now is a HTC HD2

Functionality is the iPhones buzzword, the apps store is fantastic... may not be for everyone but its a vast array of apps, lots of great free ones and likely would appeal to your age group more than a Blackberry as that and WinMo (HTC HD2) type phones are aimed and business users.

I like the HTC because its not tied to Apples PITA rules, I can customise the phone very easily as its like Windows, even has a registry for regedits!

Looks iPhone is a superb package, HTC HD2 and its HTC Sense is a fantastic front screen, the weather is animated so a new approach, battery life, well depends on what you are doing, if surfing the net most of the time, then most smartphones suck badly for battery life and dont be supprised if you are charging it up each day.

But of the two iPhone is the one...

    Hi

Decided on which one to go for or going to research more? curious as the Nexus One and HTC HD2 are good alternatives, just depends on what you need a smartphone for?

    I went for the 3GS 16 gb.

    And havn't looked back!

It really is a great "smart" phone!

I just use it as a phone generally but cant help myself playing on the hundreds of free apps out there. Really does put a smile on your face. :)

i would hate to see the battery life with mutlitasking on that thing!

The battery, for me, is the only con.

iPhone for sure! The on screen keyboard is so easy to use, and I'd have to use a pen or something to work the tiny little keyboard on the Blackberry. The screen size also makes a difference, I've taken to reading my email on the 3GS and turning it sideways makes it so clear. The larger screen also helps with the GPS feature.

The apps are also amazing and endless. There are a seemingly unlimited number of very useful apps and an equal number of useless but fun in a nerdy way apps. There is a level, currency converter, dictionary, translator, compass, several money management apps, SpeedTest has an app and so does PhotoShop. There are apps that are just too silly to keep on the phone, but worth checking out and all the ones I've mentioned are free apps.

I also really like the podcasts on the iTunes store, these are also free. There are so many it is tough to choose but "I have CURRENT GEEK", "Querks and Quarks", and a few "Old time Radio" podcasts that I subscribe to.

For me it's the iPhone hands down.
